ctrlVOID is an events and artist collective based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. For anything on this page, reach us at contact@ctrlvoid.in.

When you use the contact form. Your name, email address, an optional phone number, the category you pick, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to answer you and to keep track of the conversation. It is stored in our own database and is not sold, rented or shared with anyone outside ctrlVOID.

When you put your name on a guest list. If someone sends you a guest list link for one of our shows, the name and phone number you enter are stored against that event so the door can check you in on the night. This is the only personal data we collect from the general public, and it exists for that one night.

If you have a login. Artists, organisers and staff have accounts. We store the email address and an encrypted password through our authentication provider, plus whatever you enter into your own profile — biography, photos, social links, booking and payment records. Passwords are never visible to us.

Press kit views. When an artist shares a press kit link, we count views and downloads so the artist can see how it is travelling. We record that a view happened and roughly when. We do not build a profile of who viewed it.

Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics on the public pages of this site. It is cookieless and does not follow you between websites. It tells us how many people visited a page and which link brought them, and nothing that identifies you personally. The logged-in areas are not tracked at all.

The ctrlVOID app for iOS and Android talks to this same service, so everything above applies to it too. A few things are specific to a phone.

Staying signed in.When you sign in, the app stores your session token in the device's own secure storage — the iOS keychain or the Android keystore — so you do not have to sign in every time. It never leaves your device except as the credential that authorises your own requests, and signing out deletes it.

Camera and photo library. The app asks for these only at the moment you add a photo or video to your press kit, and only then. We do not read your library in the background or scan it. The file you pick is uploaded to your own press kit; nothing else is. You can decline and still use every other part of the app.

Documents. If you attach a contract PDF, it goes to private storage that only you and ctrlVOID staff can open, through links that expire within minutes. It is never published or indexed.

No tracking. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDK of any kind. It does not use your location, contacts, calendar, microphone or photos beyond the upload you explicitly choose. It does not build an advertising profile, and there is nothing in it to opt out of.

Push notifications. The app does not currently send them and does not collect a push token. If that changes, this page changes with it before the feature ships.

We do not sell your data or share it with data brokers. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party advertising cookies on this site, and the app carries no tracking SDK at all. We do not email you marketing you did not ask for.

We use a small number of service providers to run the site: a hosting and analytics provider, a database and authentication provider, and a file storage provider. They process data on our behalf under their own agreements and may store it outside India. Beyond those, the only people who see an enquiry or a guest list entry are the people at ctrlVOID working on that show.

Pages on this site can embed players from YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify and SoundCloud. If a page you visit contains one, that provider will know you loaded it, under their privacy policy rather than ours.

Enquiries are kept while they are live and for a reasonable period after, so we have the history if you come back to us. Guest list entries are kept for the event and its settlement, then cleared. Account data lasts as long as the account.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@ctrlvoid.in and we will action it. If you have an account you can edit most of it yourself from your own dashboard. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you may also withdraw consent at any time, and we will stop processing on that basis.

If we change what we collect, we change this page and move the date at the top. There is no archive of previous versions; this page is always the current one.
